In a seemingly sudden move, longtime DC Comics Co-Publisher Dan DiDio is reportedly no one longer working for the comic publisher, according to The Hollywood Reprter.
DiDio has been a fixture at DC in various leadership andand writing capacities for most of the last two decades. He was one of the voices in the behind the 2011 “New 52” reboot of entire comic line alongside Co-Publisher Jim Lee and the former executive (still a writer) Geoff John’s. The trio rose to those roles in 2010.
While things seemed to go well at first with the reboot, eventually sales and other factors eventually led to the 2016 “DC Rebirth” relaunch that brought back much of what was erased in 2011. Currently the publisher is on route to another event or relaunch that further changes and brings back old elements from continuity.
Currently there are no details about DiDios departure and what is next or who is will take his place.
