The Unstoppable Juggernaut smashes into his own miniseries in May

Nothing can stop the Juggernaut, not even being booted into Limbo only to return to find out the X-Men (and all mutants) are safe & secure on an island paradise that he cannot be part of.

That’s the heart of the story for Juggernaut, a May launching five-issue mini-series from Fabian Nicieza and Ron Garney that turns the spot light on one Cain Marko, the mythical gem powered stepbrother of one Charles Xavier, and his return to Earth. The series will showcase Cain’s dealing with Xavier and the others new Krakoan status quo.

“That basically instigates the entire story. Having been X and lost, what does Cain become now? After years of back and forth and madness and sadness, he had become a member in good standing of the X-Men, and then while he’s away dancing in Limbo, mutantkind gets everything they could have ever hoped for… and Cain can’t be a part of that,” Nicieza told IGN, who announced the series. “How he reacts to that rejection becomes the exploration of who he is going to become without the one thing that — for good and bad — has defined him for most of his life.”

Despite not being able to go to Krakoa, Cain will have a mutant connection that goes beyond his stepbrother. A brand new character named D-Cel who happens to be a fifteen-year old girl with the mutant ability to decelerate things. Along with his new ally, Cain will also gain a brand new armor that Nicieza described as a cross between Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko in his IGN interview.
