With Harley Quinn having set out on her own many many years ago, playing along the border of the heroic and anti-villain line in her own series for most of the last decade, and with some big plans on the way, it seems the Joker has finally found a replacement sidekick/partner in crime.
Teased back in January by writer James Tynion IV in his regular newsletter, DC Comics has officially debuted information about the newest Batman villain known as Punchline, who is set to make a huge impact in the upcoming “Joker War” storyline that begins in May. Before the event, she’ll make a one panel cameo in the upcoming Batman #89 from Tynion, Guillem March and Tomeu Morey on Feburay 19.
Following that cameo, this sinister new character will make her full on debut in Year of the Villain: Hell Arisen#3 on February 26 from Tynion, Steve Epting, Javier Fernandez and Nick Filardi.
Along with the debut information, DC also shared Stanley “Artgerm” Lau’s variant cover featuring Punchline for May’s Batman #94.
