The X-Men’s adventures get bigger in the February launching Giant-Size X-Men series

Dawn of X has just really begun for the X-Men and all of mutant kind, their lives beginning to come together on the island nation of (and mutant itself) Krakoa. In 2020, things are going to get bigger.

Giant you might say.

Revealed at MCM Comic Con London by Marvel, Jonathan Hickman, the mastermind behind much of the current X-Men revolution, will be launching a second title to run alongside his current X-Men series taking on a familiar name from the X past: Giant Size X-Men. Each issue will see Hickman teaming with a different art team to bring to life big adventures focused on different mutants/X-Men.

Kicking off the book will be Russell Dauterman and Matt Wilson who joins Hickman for Giant-Size X-Men: Jean Grey and Emma Frost #1 which follows the usual rivals featured in the title (Jean Grey and Emma Frost) as they work to try and rescue Storm.

“I’ve wanted to draw X-Men comics since I was a kid, so drawing this issue of X-MEN is a dream come true,” says Dauterman. “I’m so thrilled to be working on this with Jonathan and Matt, and it’s co-starring my favorite character, Jean Grey!”

The Giant-Size moniker was used first in 1975 when Len Wein and David Cockrum worked to relaunch the X-Men after their title had been cancelled and been in reruns for years. The titles return fits this time as the line is once more getting a pretty big overhaul.

Further announcements about artists and characters starring in subequent issues are expected in the future.
