Hulu reportedly passes on Gabriel Luna’s Ghost Rider series

It turns out that the Ghost Rider may not ride again.

After picking up the Gabriel Luna starring Ghost Rider series, which was not to be related to Luna’s appearances as the character on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., alongside a series about Damion Hellstrom it seems Hulu is passing on the Rider, according to Deadline.

While Hellstrom is on track reportedly, Hulu and the creators behing Ghost Rider reportedly came to a creative impasse and the streaming network passed on the series. Hulu currently is home to Marvel’s Runaways and Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger with the animated quintet of shows Marvel’s Howard the Duck, Marvel’s MODOK, Marvel’s Tigra and Dazzler Show, Marvel’s Hit-Monkey and Marvel’s The Offenders on the way.

Becuase the series is a Marvel property and becuase Disney already basically owns Hulu (they began a long process buyout from Comcast earlier this year), it seems unlikely that the show would find a home on any non-Disney platform since the House of Mouse is seemingly consolidating most of their content.

Depending on the content level it could end up on Disney+ but that depends on if they want to fit it alongside the already planned Marvel Studios show plans on that platform, since Ghost Rider is from the separate Marvel TV banner.
