It’s mercenary vs monster king in Deadpool’s new series

Marvel's Merc with a Mouth is pitted against the king of monsters when Staten Island becomes the new monster kingdom

When one is a mercenary with regernation powers, it is hard to keep one down. That’s the truth for Deadpool as Marvel’s Merc with a Mouth will rise once more, his last series having ended recently, in a brand new ongoing series this fall.

A few weeks ago Marvel put out a teaser with a blacked out figure on a throne and the line “Long live the King,” and on the publisher’s The Pull List series that teaser was the cover to a newly announced Deadpool series by writer Kelly Thompson and artist Chris Bachalo.

“Deadpool’s newest mercenary job has him going after the king of monsters, who has claimed a new kingdom for his monsterous subjects on Staten Island,” said The Pull List host Tucker Markus in the video. “Can Deadpool’s smooth charisma and deft diplomacy allow him to keep his head, or will he be royally screwed?”

Deadpool #1 arrives in November.
