As fans await the debut of Stranger Things third season on Netflix, they will have the chance to dive further into the coming of age horror series backstory by picking up a comic book. Following their recent Stranger Things: The Other Side miniseries focused on Will Byers, Dark Horse Comics has announced a brand new prequel series focused on Project MKUltra and the subject known as Six.
A four-part series, Stranger Things: Six reunites writer Jody Houser, inker Keith Champagne and letterer Nate Piekos from the first miniseries and they are joined by penciler Edgar Salazar and colorist Triona Farrell.
The series description from the official press release:
“Stranger Things: SIX follows Francine, a teenage girl with precognition. She’s struggled through a lifetime of exploitation: first by her parents, then by Dr. Brenner of Hawkins Laboratory. Dr. Brenner wants to harness her powers as well as those of the other gifted children that they hold captive at the lab. Wracked by increasingly disturbing visions, she sees an opportunity to change her life. But at what cost?”
This new series debuts on May 29.
