All good things must come to an end. While everyone wishes their favorite shows will last forever and give them a billion seasons, not all shows can or should be The Simpsons.
In that vein, Noah Hawley is sticking to his vision when it comes to FX’s Legion as the network has now announced during the Television Critics Associate press tour that the quirky FX/Marvel series is coming to an end with season three just as Hawley planned, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Legion is an X-Men adjacent series starring David Haller (Dan Stevens), a very powerful mutant with a history of psychiatric issues including various personalities. In the comics, he’s the son of X-Men founder Charles Xavier. The series also stars Rachel Keller, Bill Irwin, Amber Midthunder, Jeremie Harris, Jean Smart, Jemaine Clement, Katie Aselton, Navid Negahban, Hamish Linklater and Aubrey Plaza.
The series was one of a handful that saw Fox/FX and Marvel coming together to expand the X-Men related world, prior to the eventual acquisition of Fox by Marvel’s parent company Disney.
