As one might expect after coming out of a near-death experience while fighting the resurrected & evil version of the woman they love, things are going to be pretty dark for Netflix’s version of Daredevil going forward. As if to hammer that point home, the streaming platform has unveiled a new poster for season three of Marvel’s Daredevil.
Shared on Twitter, the poster features Matt Murdock’s Daredevil mask perched upon a cross, the caption “Let there be darkness” accompanying the image as well as “Job 30:26.” That verse has multiple translations but most of them are very similar pretty much amounting to: “When I looked for good, then evil came unto me: and when I waited for light, there came darkness.”
Marvel’s Daredevil season three follows up on last years Marvel’s Defenders series where Matt was believed dead when the Midland Circle headquarters of The Hand collapsed but instead he ended up waking up at the end of the last episode being taken care of by nuns. This season reportedly is set to adapt the “Born Again” storyline from Frank Miller & David Mazzucchelli and also features the return of Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk/Kingpin.
The series has no release date quite yet but likely is set to arrive later this fall with early spring 2019 as another possibility.
