Typhoid Mary is ready for her live-action debut. Alice Eve was revealed as the actress that will bring the long-time foe of Daredevil to life this fall for season two of Marvel’s Iron Fist, and now the sereis has shared the first look at Eve in character.
Posted on Instagram, the two photos come with the caption “ou never really know someone until you see both sides” because it shows both a happier version of Mary as well as a sword weilding deadlier version. That’s because Typhoid Mary, real name Mary Walker, is a low-level psionic (pyrokinesis, telekinesis, limited mind control) who suffers from a dissociative identity disorder that has created a quiet and timid Mary, a lustful and dangerous Typoid and an even deadlier and sadistic Bloody Mary.
Typhoid Mary is also an assassin and skilled martial artist who debuted in Daredevil #254 in 1988 from Ann Nocenti and John Romita Jr. and has been a former lover and foe of Daredevil/Matt Murdock in the past. Since then she has gone on to fight various other Marvel characters over the years, but not straying much from her fascination and hatred for Daredevil.
Starring Finn Jones, Jessica Henwick, Simone Missick, Sacha Dhawan, Tom Pelphrey, Jessica Stroup and Even, Marvel’s Iron Fist debuts its entire second season on September 07 on Netflix.
