This year’s annual The CW superhero crossover event is ready to bring in Gotham City and the debut of Batwoman, but it turns out it’ll be even more super than most figured.
As reported by Entertainment Weekly, after taking off season three Tyler Hoechlin’s Superman is making his big return for the crossover and he’ll be bringing along the Supergirl world’s version of Lois Lane, making her Arrowverse debut. Hoechiln is set to be in all three episodes, so at long last fans will get to see Superman, Supergirl, Flash and Green Arrow along with all their friends share the small screen together.
Casting for Lois hasn’t begun yet, and there is no word how much time in the crossover she’ll have.
“We couldn’t be more excited to introduce Lois Lane to the Arrowverse,” said Supergirl executive producers Jessica Queller and Robert Rovner. “This dogged, determined and brave reporter will make for a strong partner to Superman and amazing addition to our universe of DC characters.”
Lois has been name-dropped many times on Supergirl since the show debuted, what with her connection to Kara’s cousin and Jimmy Olson moving from working in Metropolis to National City, and Superman debuted fully in season two before not being anywhere during all of season three despite the fact that Kara and company were battling Reign and other powerful bad Kryptonians.
There is a flipping of the schedule for the event as it begins with The Flash on Sunday, December 09 before moving onto Arrow on Monday, December 10 then wrap up on Tuesday, December 11 with Supergirl.
The Flash returns on Tuesday, October 09, Supergirl on Sunday, October 14 and Arrow on Monday, October 15.
