With Mission: Impossible Fallout racking up the box office numbers currently, Rebecca Ferguson has already snagged herself a role in another 90’s born film franchise. Ferguson, as reported by Deadline, is joining Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson for the new Men in Black film as she is reportedly snagging the female lead role in the film.
Spinning off the three films starring Tommy Lee Jones & Will Smith, this new Men in Black reportedly is set to follow Hemsworth and Thompson as more globe-trotting agents of the alien watching & enforcement agency. Jones and Smith are not set to return in any capacity at the moment.
Directed by Fate of the Furious and Straight Outta Compton’s F. Gary Gray, the untitled Men in Black sequel stars Hemsworth, Thompson, Ferguson, Liam Neeson, Rafe Spall, Kumail Nanjani and Emma Thompson who is the only veteran to return from the previous films in the franchise. Production began in July with sights set on a June 14, 2019, release.
