Sarah Connor’s back as Linda Hamilton returns in the first Terminator 6 cast photo

The original Terminator defeating badass is back standing alongside a whole new cast of characters.

Linda Hamilton Terminator

Sarah Connor is back and she’s ready to kick some more Terminator ass. Through the film’s official Twitter channel, Paramount Pictures has dropped the very first image of Linda Hamilton and some of the new cast for the brand new sixth Terminator film.

Tim Miller & James Cameron’s new film brings back Hamilton as the badass survivor Sarah Connor for a film that will ignore the other Terminator films that have come out except for Cameron’s original two films. Hamilton is joined by Natalia Reyes & Mackenzie David in the photo, as the two are part of the brand new cast of characters that will lead the franchise forward.

Details about the new Terminator film are scant, outside of the fact that it’s a direct sequel to 1991’s Terminator 2: Judgement Day and it reunites Cameron, Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger who is also returning to the franchise once more. Only Schwarzenegger has been part of the series since that original sequel, playing the role of the Terminator once more in both Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines and the attempted reboot/retcon film Terminator: Genisys

The Terminator series stands alongside other aging franchises like the Predator and Halloween series that are getting brand new installments that are meant to tie back to the original films while also moving the narrative forward and perhaps rekindle something in each franchise that was lost through various sequels.

This untitled Terminator film is currently in production and also stars Gabriel Luna and Diego Boneta. It’s scheduled to open on November 22, 2019.
