There is no denying that the DC side of things with Aquaman and Shazam and Wonder Woman is what most people are waiting to see coming out of Warner Bros. San Diego Comic-Con presence. Alongside the Atlanteans and Amazonians though the studio dropped a trailer for the next entry in their other majorly successful franchise, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.
The title villain has been sparsely seen in previous trailers, no doubt connected to the cloud of domestic abuse and other issues that surrounded Johnny Depp who plays the dark wizard, but that’s not the case here.
There is more seen about Jude Law’s version of a young Albus Dumbledore and his relationship with Grindelwald as well as Eddie Redmayne’s Newt Scamander and a new look at a character that was important to the very first Harry Potter story.
Directed by David Yates, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald stars Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, Ezra Miller, Zoë Kravitz, Callum Turner, Claudia Kim, William Nadylam, Kevin Guthrie, Carmen Ejogo, Poppy Corby-Tuech, Law and Depp. It opens November 16.
