After diving into the world of comic books with Marvel’s Man-Thing in 2017, Goosebumps creator R.L. Stine is ready for more. The prolific children and young adult writer has signed a deal with Boom! Studios to create four “supernatural middle-grade series of graphic novels,” according to Publisher’s Weekly.
Boom’s Vice President of Editorial & Creative Strategy Bryce Carlson reportedly brokered the deal directly with Stine, which will see the books join the company’s KaBoom! imprint which is focused on titles geared more towards younger audiences.
Stine is most famous for his Goosebumps series of children’s horror stories that have been reprinted and adapted in numerous ways over the years including into board games, a 90s television series on Fox and even a motion picture starring Jack Black that has a sequel on the way.
There are currently no known titles or artists or solicitations for the four graphic novel series, but they are expected to begin rolling out sometime in 2019.
