Sony has already stacked their cast for the upcoming Men in Black spinoff by placing Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson in the black suits and sunglasses. There is always room for more stacking though.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Hemsworth and Thompson as the new agents from the London branch of the alien monitoring unit will report to none other than Liam Neeson in the role of the bureau boss. Neeson is currently in negotiations for the role.
Directed by F. Gary Gray, the new film will take place in the same world as the former Men in Black trilogy but will leave behind Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith’s Agents J and K and hop across the ocean. Reportedly Hemsworth will play the veteran agent this time around with Thompson being the one that is new to the bureau and the world of fighting and protecting aliens and the world, the two brought together on to solve a murder mystery that takes them around the globe.
Men in Black is set for a June 14, 2019 release.
