When Hajime Isayama’s hit manga series Attack on Titan was adapted into an anime in 2013, it caught the attention of many Anime and non-Anime fans alike. Unfortunately, after a strong first season, the series left its audience hanging with a four-year hiatus before season two finally dropped in 2017.
Thankfully the wait for the series third season won’t be anywhere near as long.
Funimation released a new trailer for Attack on Titan season three which came with the news that the series will be making its return on July 22 in Japan.
“We’re thrilled to be bringing back ’Attack on Titan’ for its third season in 2018 and on the heels of the series’ long-awaited and exciting return last year,” said Funimation CEO and Founder Gen Fukunaga. “Everyone is anxious to see what’s in store for the new season. Fans have been clamoring with non-stop speculation ever since Wit Studio released a Season 3 teaser poster last October. We will all soon find out later this year.”
Funimation, in an agreement with Kodansha, gained the international rights to home entertainment, video on demand and broadcast distribution of the series in the United States, Canada, the U.K., Ireland, Australia and New Zealand.
