Chadwick Boseman brought King T’Challa to Saturday Night Live

King T'Challa might have been able to defeat Killmonger, but the questions of Black Jeopardy might prove a mightier foe.

Black Panther SNL

As the film continues to break records and prove to be a force that Hollywood won’t be able to ignore, Black Panther, extended its reach to the long-running sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live. Chadwick Boseman was the latest host for the show and in the process of taking part in various sketches, he reprised his role as the film’s protagonist King T’Challa/Black Panther.

T’Challa appeared in the shows recurring segment Black Jeopardy alongside characters played by alongside Leslie Jones and Chris Redd, with hilarious effect.

While the character is very much in his element at times in the blockbuster film, in this role he takes on the part of the fish-out-of-water type character as his privileged existence makes him unable to answer questions correctly about the experiences of many black people in the United States, much to the dismay and eventual delight of host Darnell Hayes, played by Kenan Thompson.
