Plans are made & stakes are revealed in Marvel’s full-length Avengers: Infinity War trailer

Thanos arrives, the heroes make plans & universe altering stakes are laid out in the new official trailer.

With just a bit over a month till the film arrives, now that it’s grabbed a worldwide same day release, Marvel Studios has unleashed the full-length official trailer for Avengers: Infinity War. As one might guess with the stakes and the number of characters set for the film, it’s quite a trailer.

This trailer lays out the threat of Thanos and the Infinity Gauntlet, the stakes that the entire universe is facing should the heroes lose (wiping out half of all living beings with the snap of a finger) and shows parts of what the heroes plans are to try and stop him. Oh, and Captain America and Thanos have an epic moment…it’s pretty great.

As the Avengers and their allies have continued to protect the world from threats too large for any one hero to handle, a new danger has emerged from the cosmic shadows. A despot of intergalactic infamy, his goal is to collect all six Infinity Stones, artifacts of unimaginable power, and use them to inflict his twisted will on all of reality. Everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment — the fate of the Earth and existence itself has never been more uncertain.

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers: Infinity War stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Elizabeth Olsen, Jeremy Renner, Tom Holland, Anthony Mackie, Paul Rudd, Chadwick Boseman, Paul Bettany, Letitia Wright, Danai Gurira, Sebastian Stan, Don Cheadle, Benedict Cumberbatch, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Tom Hiddleston, Josh Brolin and more. The film opens April 27.
