Action 1000

While much attention has been directed towards what comes next with Brian Michael Bendis taking over the titles, DC Comics is looking to keep attention on April when Superman reaches a giant milestone. That’s when the massive Action Comics #1000 arrives.

To celebrate, the publisher has released in its entirety the five-page story featured in the issue from Tom King, Clay Mann, Jordie Bellaire and John Workman. In the story, titled “Of Tomorrow,” billions of years have passed and Superman is now not only the last son of Krypton but also the last son of Earth as he visits the planet one last time before it’s final destruction.

The rest of the issue features stories from Paul Dini, Scott Snyder, José Luis García-López, Jerry Ordway, Bendis and Jim Lee. Action Comics #1000 arrives on April 18.
