Chris Hemsworth reportedly in talks for Sony’s Men In Black revival

Hemsworth could be going from playing a Marvel Thunder God alien to policing Aliens in a sweet black suit.

Men In Black

Audiences have come to know Chris Hemsworth as the God of Thunder Thor, a member of the alien race known as the Asgardians. Now it looks like he might be taking on a whole new role, one that polices aliens.

According to Variety, Hemsworth is in early talks with Sony about taking on a role in their planned Men in Black revival spinoff film. The actor would take on the role of one of the lead agents, since Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith are not returning in the roles of Agents K and J that they played in the first three films of the franchise.

As with the original films that followed Smith and Jones, the new revival will follow agents from a secret organization who protect Earth from aliens bent on destroying it and also make sure that the aliens that live among us are kept in line.

Rumors of a revival, including a crossover with 21 Jump Street, have been circulating for years but Sony fast-tracked this revival last year and The Fate of the Furious and Straight Out of Compton director F. Gary Gray is attached to the film which also has a May 17, 2019 release date.
