Amadeus Cho returns to Earth as World War Hulk II begins in March

When the original Planet Hulk storyline for Marvel Comics ended in 2006 it led to an enraged Hulk coming back to Earth for World War Hulk, where he took his vengeance out upon those that wronged him. So it seems only fitting that the current Amadeus Cho Hulk storyline Return to Planet Hulk should do something similar.

As announced by Marvel, writer Greg Pak, who handled both of the Hulk stories above & the current title, and artist Carlo Barberi will launch the storyline World War Hulk II next spring beginning with Incredible Hulk #714. Amadeus returns to Earth but his rage and darker impulses have been released and it might be his home planet that suffers his wrath.

“What follows [“Return to Planet Hulk”]?” said Executive Editor and SVP Tom Brevoort. “World War Hulk II, of course! To survive on the savage world of Sakaar, Amadeus Cho was forced to unleash his darkest impulses! Returning to Earth, now The Hulk is at the wheel–and it’s a more unpredictable, more unconquerable Hulk than any we’ve seen before! The heroes of the Marvel Universe must intercede as the formerly Totally Awesome Hulk begins to carve his own path across the world.”

Not only will the Sakaar adventure play a part in this new rage-filled Cho, but his experiences with Bruce Banner in the Generations one-shot will also play a part. It will be up to Black Panther, the Champions and Alpha Flight to try and bring down the monster that Cho has unleashed.
