Since making his big return in Marvel Legacy #1, somehow bursting out of his solid Adamantium covering, the original Marvel Universe Wolverine has been conspicuously absent. That won’t last for long.
After featuring Logan in a teaser image last week, Marvel Comics has now revealed they are taking a page out of Marvel Studio’s book and offering up after-credit scenes in select issues that will tease his whereabouts and answer questions about his return, why he was searching for an Infinity Stone and much more.
“Fans have been speculating about Wolverine’s whereabouts since he first reappeared in MARVEL LEGACY #1—and the Marvel Universe is left just as unaware!” said SVP and Executive Editor Tom Brevoort. “So keep your eyes peeled as Canada’s favorite citizen makes his presence felt in titles all across the Marvel line! It’s all leading to something—but what?”
Each of the after-credit scenes will be done by a different artist.
“Mystery has always been part of Wolverine’s DNA,” said senior editor Mark Paniccia. “He’s one of Marvel’s most interesting and popular characters. Fans are going to have a helluva ride finding out where he’s been and how he came back.”
Beginning in January the following issues, with more to be revealed later, will feature a Wolverine after-credit scene:
CAPTAIN AMERICA #697
MIGHTY THOR #703
AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #794
