Things have been rather quiet for the last few months about the movie adaptation of the video game series Rampage, but with a trailer set to debut on November 16, star Dwayne Johnson has shared the film’s first poster. In it, Johnson stands ready for battle with his giant albino gorilla friend George right behind him.
Previously Johnson revealed that he will be playing the head of an anti-poaching unit in Rwanda where his best friend is a rare albino gorilla known as George (which is the name of the gorilla in the game). Some “very bad people” infect George along with an alligator and a wolf (the characters Lizzie the giant lizard and Ralph the werewolf in game) with a serum that turns them into giant rampaging monsters that The Rock and his team have to stop while The Rock goes on a rampage of his own to get justice for what was done to his friend.
Rampage re-teams Johnson with San Andreas director Brad Peyton and also stars Jeffery Dean Morgan, Malin Akerman, Joe Manganiello, Naomie Harris, Marley Shelton, Jake Lacy, PJ Byrne, Jack Quaid, Matt Gerald and Breanne Hill. The film opens on April 20, 2018.
