Jean Grey returns to lead her own team in 2018’s ongoing series X-Men: Red

X-Men Red

Coming back from the void of death after thirteen years will not be the only thing that the original Marvel Universe Jean Grey will be doing in 2018. Following the upcoming Phoenix Resusrection miniseries, Marvel has officially announced a brand new series known as X-Men: Red from Tom Taylor and Mahmud Asrar with covers by Travis Charset, with Jean as the team leader.

Here is the official video announcement, looking back at Jean’s time in comics:

X-Men: Red will stand alongside the current team titles X-Men: Blue X-Men: Gold with both Blue and Red having Jean Grey’s as leaders, at least for the time being. X-Men: Blue reportedly will undergo some cast changes early next year which could change things up for that title and it’s leadership roles potentially.

Currently the teenage version of Jean, who leads the Blue team, also stars in her very own solo title.

X-Men: Red launches in February.
