Fans of the popular Attack on Titan anime had to wait three agonizing years before they got a shortened second season, but if all goes to plan the wait for a third season of adventures with Eren Jaeger & crew will not be as long. As revealed on the official site, the third season of the series is slated to make it’s debut in Japan in July of 2018 barring any delays like occurred for the second season.
While it’s not confirmed, most likely the new series will make it’s subbed and dubbed debut on Funimation and Crunchyroll at the same time it airs in Japan, just like with season two.
Based upon the popular manga series by Hajime Isayama, Attack on Titan debuted in 2013 and quickly became a fan-favorite series and is set in a world where the remnants of humanity have retreated behind a series of high walls to protect themselves from the seemingly mindless flesh-eating Titans.
Season two of the series wrapped up earlier this year.
