Back in July it was announced that SyFy Channel’s prequel series Krypton, which takes place on Superman’s home planet long before it exploded and he was sent away, would feature more than Kryptonian characters. At the time it was reported that DC heroes like Adam Strange, Hawkwoman and others would travel through time to help save the planet and Superman’s future.
The series Adam Strange has now been found. According to Deadline, Melrose Place & The Vampire Diaries alum Shaun Sipos has reportedly been cast in a series regular role of Adam Strange, described as “a world-weary human, who finds himself stranded on Krypton as the unlikely mentor to Seg-El, Superman’s grandfather.”
Strange’s journey will take him and Seg-El (Cameron Cuffe) up against big time Superman foes like Doomsday and Brainiac. At the time it was mentioned that the time travel aspect that brings Strange and Hawkwoman to Krypton was brought in expand the show from just being the prequel starring Superman’s ancestors living their lives on Krytpon.
Hawkwoman and the villain roles are still not cast.
Set to arrive in 2018, Krypton also stars Georgina Campbell, Elliot Cowan, Ann Ogbomo, Rasmus Hardiker, Wallis Day, Aaron Pierre and Ian McElhinney.
