Now that Marvel’s The Defenders is streaming and has been binge watched by most audiences, Marvel TV and Netflix are turning their attention to the next entry in their lucrative collaborative endeavor. Marvel’s The Punisher official Twitter account dropped quite a bit of information on the series, including a new teaser that shows off the main cast.
Just like most of the characters shown in the teaser, the release date is classified and left vague in the trailer, only the 2017 showing up. Most suspect that the series will have an October or November release date.
This teaser wasn’t the only thing the companies shared about the new show. The Twitter account also dropped a slew of Morse Code tweets that when deciphered appear to be the list of episode names for the show.
- 3 am
- Two Dead Men
- The Judas Goat
- Cold Steel
- Front Toward Enemy
- Virtue of the Vicious
- Danger Close
- Memento Mori
If these are indeed the names of the episodes it answers one question that has been floating around previous, how long the series would be. Many reports had it pegged as 8 episodes like The Defenders but other reports had it coming in at 13 like the previous series, and it seems it will indeed match up with the other previous solo series.
Marvel’s The Punisher stars Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Ben Barnes as Billy Russo, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Micro, Amber Rose Revah as Dinah Madani, Daniel Webber as Lewis Walcott, Paul Schulze as Rawlins, Shohreh Aghdashloo as Farah Madani and Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio.
