Next month Jason Aaron, Esad Ribic and Matthew Wilson are set to kick off the Marvel Legacy initiative that brings back classic numbering, classic heroes and brand new storylines with the 50-page Marvel Legacy #1 one-shot. When the issue hits stands though, they won’t be alone.

Marvel has announced that the creative team for the issue will be joined by a stable of all-star artists lending their creative talents to the one-shot including Steve McNiven, Russell Dauterman, Chris Samnee, Alex Maleev, Stuart Immonen, Pepe Larraz, Jim Cheung, Daniel Acuna, Greg Land and Ed McGuinness.

“Because the events of Marvel Legacy #1 impact on so many corners of the Marvel Universe and reflect the upcoming storylines in so many of our titles, it only made sense to call on the artists most associated with those titles to cement the connection,” said SVP and Executive Editor Tom Brevoort. “Plus, it means that this book represents a Murderer’s Row of artistic talent and a real showpiece for those who love excellent comic book graphics.”

As shown in the preview page, each of the artists will contribute to the story drawing many of the heroes of the Marvel Universe, many of them tackling the characters they currently work on or are closely associated with.

“I was thrilled to join Jason, Esad, and Matt on Legacy #1,” Dauterman said. “The bit I illustrated checks in with my corner of the Marvel Universe, the world of Thor, and teases our biggest story yet.”

“I am really honored to be part of this huge project that is Legacy,” said Larraz. “I think it will redefine Marvel Universe as we know it. Enjoy the ride!”

Marvel Legacy #1 arrives in stores on September 27.
