There is nothing wrong with being afraid of clowns, especially when a creepy ancient evil takes on the form of a clown to kidnap, terrorize and murder children.
The latest trailer for Andrés Muschietti’s adaptation of Stephen King’s classic horror novel It takes the creepy clown dial and turns it up to 11.
When children begin to disappear in the town of Derry, Maine, a group of young kids are faced with their biggest fears when they square off against an evil clown named Pennywise, whose history of murder and violence dates back for centuries.
Unlike the book, the new film will focus just on the main characters as they are children taking on Pennywise instead of also looking at them as adults trying to end Pennywise’s evil forever. Reportedly there could be a sequel that will pick up and handle the side of the story as adults.
Arriving on September 8, It stars Bill Skarsgård as Pennywise the Clown, Jaeden Lieberher, Finn Wolfhard, Sophia Lillis Jack Dylan Grazer, Wyatt Oleff, Chosen Jacobs, Nicholas Hamilton and Jeremy Ray Taylor.
