Fox’s latest trailer for their X-Men related television series gives a closer look at the Marvel X-Men characters that are appearing, as well as sets up more of the overall plot for the series.
Action-adventure family drama THE GIFTED, from Marvel, tells the story of a suburban couple whose ordinary lives are rocked by the sudden discovery that their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive.
The series stars Stephen Moyer as Reed Strucker, Amy Acker as Caitlin Strucker, Natalie Alyn Lind as Lauren Strucker, Percy Hynes White as Andy Strucker, Sean Teale as Marcos Diaz/Eclipse, Jamie Chung as Clarice Fong/Blink, Emma Dumont as Lorna Dane/Polaris, Blair Redford as John Proudstar/Thunderbird and Coby Bell as Jace Turner.
Burn Notice creator Matt Nix is an executive producer & showrunner and he wrote the pilot episode which was directed by X-Men series director Brian Singer. Even though Singer, Lauren Shuler Donner and Simon Kinberg from Fox are involved as Executive producers the series will stand alone from the X-Men films all of them have been involved with.
Marvel TV’s Jim Chory and Jeph Loeb will also serve as executive producers.
The Gifted debuts on October 2.
