A lot of news has come out over the months about Black Panther & Avengers: Infinity War, but now some news is starting to come out about Marvel Studios third film on their 2018 schedule.
The first big casting news for Ant-Man and the Wasp has arrived and it has Ready Player One star Hannah John-Kamen joining the Ant-Man sequel in a mystery role, according to Variety. Reportedly the studio met with her numerous times over the last month before making the decision to cast her.
There are no real details about the film’s plot out there, making it very hard to guess who John-Kamen could even be playing. One potential role is that of Janet van Dyne, the original Wasp who was seen in the fir as the first film heavily suggested that she was still alive trapped in the Quantum Realm.
What is known about the film is that Peyton Reed is returning to direct the sequel with Paul Rudd & Gabriel Ferrari writing the script. Rudd is returning as Scott Lang/Ant-Man, Evangeline LIly as Hope van Dyne/Wasp and Michael Pena & Michael Douglas are both on record as returning for the sequel.
Reed has said that the sequel will fully be a duo film with Rudd and Lily getting equal focus with both Ant-Man and Wasp sharing the title of the film.
Ant-Man and the Wasp arrives on July 6, 2018.
