Frank Miller’s Sin City reportedly headed for television

Sin City

After two entries on the big screen, in 2005 and 2014, Frank Miller’s comic series Sin City is finding new life. According to Deadline, TWC/Dimension is currently developing a TV reboot of the comic with former The Walking Dead showrunner Glen Mazzara attached to give a new take on the iconic series.

The reports indicate that the new series will be a departure from the film versions and will introduce original characters and timelines from within the Sin City universe. Also Underworld director Len Wiseman is set to direct and produce the series alongside Mazzara, Stephen L’Heureux and Bob & Harvey Weinstein.

While 2005’s original Sin City film was a commercial and critical success, the almost decade later sequel Sin City: A Dame to Kill For was no where near as successful.

Since the TV reboot is said to be taking it’s own path if any of the characters from the film are used in any way they will likely be recast.

Currently there is no home for the series as it’s being develop but the reports state that there are interested networks circling the project.
