The first bloody red band trailer for Ridley Scott’s Alien: Covenant, a follow up to 2012’s Prometheus, has arrived just in time for the holidays.
While Prometheus left many fans cold, this newest entry seems to be circling back to the space horror story style that made Ridely’s 1979 Alien such a classic hit.
Ridley Scott returns to the universe he created, with ALIEN: COVENANT, a new chapter in his groundbreaking ALIEN franchise. The crew of the colony ship Covenant, bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world. When they uncover a threat beyond their imagination, they must attempt a harrowing escape.
Alien: Covenant stars Katherine Waterston, Michael Fassbender, Billy Crudup, Danny McBride, Demián Bichir, Carmen Ejogo, Amy Seimetz, Jussie Smollett, Callie Hernandez, Nathaniel Dean, Alexander England, and Benjamin Rigby.
Originally slated for an October 6, 2017 release date, the film was moved to August 4, 2017, earlier this year before getting another bump last month to it’s new May 19, 2017.
