Warner Bros. has released the first look at the much-anticipated Blade Runner 2049, a sequel to Ridley Scott and Harrison Ford’s 1982 science fiction classic Blade Runner. There isn’t much in the footage that points towards the film’s plot but both Ford and Ryan Gosling, the new blade runner, appear in the teaser.
Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.
Directed by Denis Villeneuve, Blade Runner 2049 stars Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford, Ana de Armas, Sylvia Hoeks, Robin Wright, Mackenzie Davis, Carla Juri, Lennie James, Dave Bautista and Jared Leto. The film opens October 6, 2017.
