In July 2017 Spider-Man swings onto the big screen for his fifth solo film, but this time the film is fully a high school piece, focuses on Peter Parker as a character and is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures collaborated on the film and have debuted the first domestic trailer through Jimmy Kimmel Live!
An International version of the trailer has also debuted, with different footage, dialogue, and music choices.
A young Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland), who made his sensational debut in Captain America: Civil War, begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging super hero in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, Peter returns home, where he lives with his Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), under the watchful eye of his new mentor Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.). Peter tries to fall back into his normal daily routine – distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man – but when the Vulture (Michael Keaton) emerges as a new villain, everything that Peter holds most important will be threatened.
Directed by Jon Watts, Spider-Man: Homecoming stars Holland, Tomei, Downey Jr., Keaton, Jon Favreau, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Martin Starr, Kenneth Choi, Michael Chernus and many many more. The film arrives in theaters on July 7, 2017.
