Marvel taps Iron Fist showrunner Scott Buck to lead The Inhumans series

When it comes to finding the guiding hand for the new Marvel’s The Inhumans series, Marvel looked internally. According to The Hollywood Reporter, current Iron Fist showrunner Scott Buck has been tapped to serve in the same capacity for Inhumans.

Buck will be running the series that will debut its first two episodes on IMAX screens for two weeks starting on Labor Day weekend before all eight episodes of the series air consecutively on ABC starting on September 26.

Marvel’s The Inhumans is a drama series that will tell the story of Black Bolt and the rest of the Inhuman royal family. It is not a spin off of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., which has been dealing with Inhumans for the last two seasons.

With the new job, Buck will be moving from working on the fourth of Marvel’s Netflix only series to broadcast television and to the big screen. Buck’s previous work includes serving as showrunner for Dexter’s final three seasons as well as work on Six Feet UnderRome and Coach.

Marvel’s The Inhumans is a joint project between Marvel, ABC Studios and IMAX.
