Jim Gordon and company are set to have an even bigger villain problem on their hands when Gotham rolls into it’s third season in September.
The Hollywood Reporter shared a brand new poster for the pre-Batman DC Comics based series, featuring Gordon (Ben McKenzie) holding a snow globe in hand that is full of most of the show’s most notable villains. The tagline “Mad City” refers to not only all the villains that are now on the loose thanks to the season two finale but also the addition of the Mad Hatter (Benedict Samuel) as a major antagonist in the series.
The villains included in the globe are Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor), Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith), Edward Nygma (Cory Michael Smith), Selina Kyle (Camren Bicondova), Barbara Kean (Erin Richards), Tabitha Galavan (Jessica Lucas) Butch (Drew Powell), and the newly grown up version of Ivy Pepper/Poison Ivy (Maggie Geha).
“In season three you’re really going to see how villains have taken up residence inside the city,” executive producer John Stephens said to THR. “The villains have become more and more a part of the fabric of the city of Gotham. It’s less and less a police show like it was in season one. It’s a natural continuation of that in season three.”
Gotham returns to Fox on September 20.
