SDCC: Robin makes his debut in the brand new “The LEGO Batman Movie” trailer

The LEGO BAtman

The day might have been taken by the live-action DC Universe superhero films, but LEGO Batman made sure he’d be noticed as Warner Bros. unleashed the funny new The LEGO Batman Movie trailer during San Diego Comic Con.

In the irreverent spirit of fun that made “The LEGO® Movie” a worldwide phenomenon, the self-described leading man of that ensemble – LEGO Batman – stars in his own big-screen adventure. But there are big changes brewing in Gotham, and if he wants to save the city from The Joker’s hostile takeover, Batman may have to drop the lone vigilante thing, try to work with others and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up.

Directed by Chris McKay, the film stars Will Arnett as Bruce Wayne/Batman (reprising his The LEGO Movie role), Zach Galifianakis as The Joker, Michael Cera as Robin, Rosario Dawson as Batgirl, Ralph Fiennes as Alfred Pennyworth, and Mariah Carey as the Commissioner Gordon.

The LEGO Batman Movie opens in theaters on February 10, 2017.
