The first behind the scenes photo of Katherine Waterston in Alien: Covenant, 20th Century Fox and Ridley Scott’s sequel to Prometheus, has arrived online.
The photo shows Waterston’s character Daniels in a corridor, presumably within the film’s colony ship the Covenant, with fire and what appears to be a red alarm light flashing in the distance. Shared on Twitter, the photo’s caption reads, “Nowhere to run.”
The film follows the crew of the Covenant as they stumble across an uncharted and seemingly uninhabited planet where they come across David (Michael Fassbender) the only survivor of the events of Prometheus and the planet begins to turn far deadlier than they expect.
Alien: Covenant is both a sequel to Prometheus and the planned start of a new trilogy that will serve as a prequel to the original 1979 Alien film. The film is directed by Ridley Scott and stars Fassbender, Waterston, Demian Bichir, Danny McBride, Jussie Smollett, Amy Seimetz, Carmen Ejogo, Callie Hernandez and Billy Crudup.
Alien: Covenant opens on August 4, 2017.
