It seems fitting that after PlayStation ended up leaking information about the newest Call of Duty it is now Xbox that ended up leaking information about the newest game for the other war set shooter series Battlefield.
The information leaked early in the day, ahead of the already planned EA release of a trailer and information for the game that is titled Battlefield 1. Set to arrive on October 21 for PlayStation 4, PC and XBox One, the new game is set during World War I.
Battlefield I is full of the tanks, planes, machine guns and other technology that began to emerge during what was originally known as The Great War. It comes with a campaign as well allow 64-player multiplayer situations as the action moves through France, Italy, Arabia and other realistic locations.
Players will be able to get a hands-on test of the game at EA Play events being held in Los Angles and London on June 12 where EA will also reveal the first gameplay footage before letting attendees try the game out. For those that can’t or don’t register for the event, there will be an Open Beta sometime in the summer and EA Access and Origin Access members will be able to play the game for a limited time before the release date.
Lastly, those that pre-order the Early Enlister Deluxe Edition of the game will be able to play the game three days early, on October 18.
