Unlike some other rumors that broke last week, the rumors regarding the latest installment of Activision’s top-selling franchise Call of Duty being titled Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare have been confirmed with the release of a launch trailer for the game.
Last week fans spotted a listing for the game under the trending section of the PlayStation Store, which was followed up with an image released on Reddit that showed the cover and a release date and confirmed other rumors that the bigger version of the game comes with a remastered version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.
Infinity Ward, one of the three studios alongside Treyarch and Sledgehammer that develop games in the series alongside Activision, is the studio behind the game that will take players to the realm of space as they fight against a group of colonists called the SDF that have decided they want all the goods that come from other planets to Earth.
In a first for Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty games, this one will come with the popular Zombies game mode alongside the usual single player and multiplayer. Usually they have shied away from that game mode that was developed by Treyarch.
